🚦03 Realtime status of plants

Prerequisites

For this function to work properly, your logger must have sent minute data at least once (You can check for incoming data in the Portal via “Administration” → “Plants” → Choose a plant → “Raw data Tasks” → Task Type: PutMin).

Communication Monitoring

The displayed color codes are based on the most recently transmitted data packet.

Color Legend

Version 4.8.0

In Version 4.8.0, we improve the overview by reducing color complexity.

In summary, this means:

  • From now on, we will use the colors gray, green, and red. The colors orange and yellow have been removed.

  • In the case of communication errors, the percentage distinction of faulty components is eliminated. Thus, the status of your system changes to red as soon as one communication error occurs.

Deviations and status errors currently have no impact on the real-time status of a plant.

red

Reason 1: Monitoring Not Possible

Plant data cannot be processed or is missing - e.g., due to an error in the Solar-Log™.

This includes:

  • missing production data (minute data) (improved in Q4 2025)

  • no transmission from the Solar-Log™

Reason 2: Monitoring Reports Faulty Plant Condition

After evaluating the transmitted data, a problem with the plant is detected. This includes:

  • failures of inverters, MPP trackers, or strings

  • 0 PAC or 0 PDC values (PDC = 0 monitoring available from version 4.8.4)

  • static production values that remain constant over a long period (from version 4.8.2)

green

All plant data for monitoring is available. Communication with the Solar-Log™ and the connected components is functioning.

Please note that deviations and component status alarms may still be present.

grey

Reason: New plant created, no data transfer yet
  • newly created plant that has not yet transferred any data

  • plant without configuration

to Version 4.7.7

Deviations and status errors currently have no impact on the real-time status of a plant.

red

  • Plant(s) without data transmission

OR

  • Plant(s) without minute data (please check Plant Administration Details > Tab “Incoming Data”)

OR

  • Plant(s) with more than 50% of the components have an active communication alert

OR

  • Plant(s) sends data in the future

red

  • Plant(s) without data transmission

OR

  • Plant(s) without minute data (please check Plant Administration Details > Tab “Incoming Data”)

OR

  • Plant(s) with more than 50% of the components have an active communication alert

OR

  • Plant(s) sends data in the future

orange

  • Plant(s) with 25-50% of components have communication alerts

yellow

  • Plant(s) with 1-25% of components with communication alerts

green

  • Plant(s) with incoming minute data

AND

  • Plant(s) with active communication to the logger and the components

Check the incoming data in plant administration and the monitoring.

grey

Plants that have not yet transmitted any data.

Display Power Management Regulation

If a plant is limited regarding its maximum active power, this will be indicated with a blue lightning.

  • Limitations of the plant can be tracked via Data Studio → Power Management.

  • To ensure the detection of the power management regulation works correctly, please ensure that the reference power of the plant matches the installed AC power.
