05. Your schedule for migration

Your personal schedule

Dear portal customer,

Here we go! In the last few weeks we’ve introduced you to the new Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ 4. But there’s a lot more to discover. If you’ve not yet found the time to get to grips with the new Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ 4, now’s an ideal time to do so. Simply register for this on our demo portal. Click here to do so:

A few recommendations

To ensure that the move goes smoothly, we have a few recommendations today that you should think about before starting the move:

  • Switch the data transfer from FTP to HTTP

  • Carry out firmware updates on the Solar-Log™

  • Ensure the transfer to the portal for all Solar-Log™

  • Update saved bookmarks in your browser

  • Check the assignments of users to plants in the page and plant administrations

Switch FTP to HTTP, or maybe FCB?

No, FTP and HTTP certainly don’t have anything to do with football, but you probably already knew that.

We strongly recommend that you switch your data loggers from FTP to HTTP transmission.
This not only ensures higher data security and less data consumption, but also guarantees continued access to the remote configuration in Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ 4. The remote configuration is HTTP-based in the new platform. And for the professionals among you, we’ve additionally protected all relevant data via native encryption.

Stay up to date!

In order to receive driver updates and bug fixes, which may also affect the graphics, we recommend that you always install the latest firmware on your Solar-Log™ devices. You can also do this now on your Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ 3 portal before the migration. This reduces the risk of functions being restricted when interacting with the new portal.

You can find the latest firmware here:

Your new portal address

Your new portal can be reached at >> xxx.enerest.world <<.

Has everyone been informed?

Last chance to get this done. With the deadline now approaching, we’re turning into the home stretch. Depending on what you’ve agreed with us, now is the last ideal opportunity for us or you to inform your customers about the upcoming move.

Your move date

The removal van and team are ready. It starts on:
Date: >> will be supplied via import <<

What happens on this day?

We activate the move mechanism for automatically migrating the plant to the new Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ 4 portal for you. Depending on which variant you’ve chosen, you start the move by confirming it or we carry it out for you.

In addition, for each registered user in the Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ 3 Portal with the user role Installer, we create a new user with the Installer role in the Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ 4 portal.

The data transfer between the portals starts in parallel.
But don’t worry, your data will be kept in the Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ 3 portal for the time being, so both we and you have a backup at all times.

What do I have to think about now?

First of all: You’ve got a new address! We’ve already sent you this address, or you will find it again in this newsletter.

Please remember that existing users of the WEB app must switch to the new Enerest ToGo app. We will show you how to create a new user for the Enerest ToGo app:

Have my users also been created? If you’ve authorised us to also create the users in the portal, then we will also create the users. If not, please remember to create them after moving to the new portal.
